@supersid333 @AngryWraith @SpurgAnon The reason you would close a store is never because you are making money and succeeding. If the store was still profitable, the owners would be looking to sell the store rather than close it, regardless of the reason the owner no longer wants to run the store there.
And who would buy a store that is always getting robbed?
@supersid333 @AngryWraith @SpurgAnon My statement was not trying to say that you were did not get it (clearly you do), but rather that it is ridiculous to impose this sort of law. Though I did not consider just "owning" an empty store for 6 months to technically comply with the idiotic law. I am sure if such a law were to pass, they would also force the owners to keep it running and not just let it lay empty.

Spurg kinda implied the idea of just leaving the store to rot without stock during the 6 month down period, which is a solution of sorts but still a bit of money sink placed on the owner.
