I don't see myself being personally affected by with the TikTok ban. I don't use the platform and don't have a strong desire to do so.
What I expect to happen is what is already happening with RedNote. That is, the users on TikTok will just go to another platform. Or go to a number of many others.
The boomers trying to ban TikTok really show their tech incompentence by their attempts to drown out any wrongthink. They target TikTok without knowing why people went there in the first place.

So are they banning all Chinese platforms or only tik tok because if they are not banning all Chinese platforms then China will just create the same thing with a different name again
Plus are they going to ban U.S.A. citizens from creating fake accounts where they pretend to be Chinese citizens to log into and watch TikTok?
Will U.S.A. citizens go to jail for tik tok watching? China is not going to arrest U.S.A. citizens living in the U.S.A. for watching tiktok

Last time I checked many years ago I could go on the north Korean government website to watch the official North Korean point of view in the English language but they are going to ban tiktok
@houseoftolstoy Banning TikTok is folly. It’s an economic problem. There’s demand for it, so people will just find a different supplier. Same thing with drugs. Same thing with prostitution.
