@wizardmanperson It should be obvious that it is fraudulent, since despite all the (sometimes warranted) complaints about the American healthcare system, they will not just leave someone to die in the emergency room. Sure, they may demand you pay a huge bill if you do not have insurance, but requiring cash upfront for any procedure is not the issue with American healthcare.
@wizardmanperson good point. I suppose it is easier to see the holes in the story in retrospect. Fraudsters only need to get a few people to get tricked in order to get a payout, so even a flawed premise can still work.
