Another thing, we should most certainly not have any alternative languages for voting in the US to English. You can't read English well enough to understand the ballot? Too bad. I would not expect to go live in Japan and expect them to provide me a ballot in English for their elections (assuming I somehow became eligible in their country).
So we have both an intelligence test and assimilation test right there, with not only no extra work, but less.
Voting should remain a difficult thing to do or should become a more difficult task. If you are incapable of doing the long term planning of figuring out how to register to vote, figure out what identification you need, where and when to vote, how should I expect you to understand the consequences of who and what you vote for?
@nomebullyyou Memes like "six seven" make me feel old. Because I am now in a generation asking the younger ones what it means.
I am not really all that old. But I know that the young will always have their own memes that will signify that I am not all that young anymore.
@buster @HAPPYPOTAMUS @IlDuWuce The problem with "pronouns" is not the pronouns themselves, but the insistence by those like you that everyone should declare their pronouns because apparently we cannot figure that out ourselves. But no, apparently it is offensive to correctly identify someone as a man or a woman just because of some delusion fed to them by someone who also has a mental illness.
Declaring them in bios just enables mental illnesses.
@sickburnbro I am sure that "freedom of the press" requires all sorts of licenses and other hoops to jump through of government approval. Which of course can be rescinded at any time if the government calls it "hateful."
Looks like this will be my new home. Warning: I (probably) have Asperger's, so my be prepared for my autism to show through.
I don't think I am a right wing extremist, but I am sure anyone with low testosterone might think otherwise.
