The #EU has authorized the use of part of a €90 billion loan for #Ukraine to purchase components for the American Patriot missile defense systems, European Commission President #Ursula von der Leyen announced. Initially, the loan stipulated that the funds be used for European-made weapons. However, at Kiev's request, an exception was made for the purchase of Patriot components.
