I have looked at course requirements for dietitian degrees and they do not have courses on exercise or exercise as it relates to nutrition

Now some exercise science degrees require a course on nutrition

Why are dietitians allowed to prescribe nutrition for people who exercise without any such coursework but exrcise scientists who have the coursework often face legal restrictions in many states
