@db Yes it can, and it can make preexisting conditions get worse and/or reappear. Taking a brisk 30 minute walk outside everyday and getting some sunshine on your skin is probably the best immediate remedy. My vagus nerve was all fucked up and waking up felt like I was on fire with a surge of cortisol until I took some steps to minimize it.

If you want the big guns, do 20 minutes of pranayama on an empty stomach. Free metronome app set to 60bps, sit comfortably with good posture, go in for ten seconds and out for ten seconds. Do that for ten minutes if it's relaxing and easy. I am up to breathing in for 10 seconds, hold for 5 seconds, and out dor 20 seconds. Just go slow - it should be easy.
