I think tasteful and small nose piercing is cute. To call it "slave tier" is laughable at best. The Middle Eastern women, dating to Biblical times did this.

Well. Any aspect of any proper Culture can be appropriated and subverted to an absurd degree.
i.e. Yoga. Yoga was for Men Only. It was a meditation practice. Now, in the West, females have appropriated it and made it about "fitness". This is a bastardation of the original practice.
When low class people try to act like high class people or niche groups, this is the outcome. Just look at how the Blacks and White Trash act when they get a line of credit.
