@rohrkrepierer Yes. It is a total racket. Technically in order to issue a ticket, a cop has to "witness" the infraction. They cleverly reword the infraction to a "fine". That way a person in a control room can simply observe a recording of the event and issue a fine, instead of a ticket. This is how they make millions of dollars. If you contest the fine you are just caught in the waiting game til the deadline passes and you are fined more. So you just pay the initial fine and be done.

The claim is that these are installed in high accident zones.
The fact is these companies are giving kickbacks to local politicians whonare trying to raise money for the municipality. Itnis a racket understeer guise of "public safety".
