So are you saying that a higher percent of people in charge of the confederacy were Jewish than the percent of people in charge of the Union?

The union did have some jews involved for sure, but per capita the confederacy was much worse.
A union general started a plan to round up all the jews in 3-4 different states while the confederacy promoted a jew to the highest position a jew had had in the government in the u.s. so far on either side. Benjamin Judah was his name I believe.
