How do you buy Algae food products that are grown in a lab instead of harvested from water bodies like Lakes, Rivers, Oceans, Ponds or Seas, that can contain Mercury or other toxins
But how do you know that algae used to make the algae supplement does not have heavy metals like Mercury or other toxins?
The body can convert ALA omega 3 to DPA and EPA omega 3 but only a low percent of it is converted
DPA and EPA omega 3 are usually from plants or animals that live in water bodies like fish or algae
What about just eating a lot of ALA omega 3 from plants that do not live in the water like Chia seed in order to avoid getting toxins or heavy metal from plants that grow in the water or fish
By grow in the water I mean grow in water bodies as opposed to in the ground
@shortstories But I rather have the algie supplement cause is 2 in 1 shot I get both Omega 3 and iodine in 1 supplement economic like TFM Say.
Have you checked if you exceed the iodine upper limit?
@shortstories No I am no worry about that I am pretty active physical if I exceded My Daily intake I Probably sweat the excess I take this supplement aleast 1 pill every 5 days
For some strange reason they only list the upper limit, lower limit and RDA based on gender, age and lactation or pregnancy status for vitamins and dietary elements
Allegedly no study has shown a need to consume more of a dietary element or vitamin based on height, weight or activity level from what I remember hearing
I think this is because they use the faulty method of statistical significance testing instead of physics and chemistry models to decide amount
I found I get more than the RDA in iodine from the foods I consume alone so I choose not to take iodine supplements
Here is the listed upper limits for iodine which people are suggested not to exceed as best as I understand
Although sometimes the upper limit has a more specific meaning than that such as do not exceed the amount through supplements but you can exceed it for food for at least 1 other dietary element maybe magnesium

@shortstories I take My chances but is way more save that eating fish or fish supplement I bet if You test comparing 1 to the other fish by a long shot Will have more Mercury and heavy metals.
