Will College Credits, certificates & or degree be useful in the distant future for things like

Math, Chemistry, Physics and any medical or engineering type knowledge that is based on them

Or is it better to just learn these things for free but not get costly University Credits to certify your learning

I am not asking about free online certificates of completion vs no certificates

But ones where you pay money for credits, certificates and or degrees vs free options

Not now but in the future
