William Mounce taught two different approaches to studying New Testament Greek in basics of biblical greek

Track 1 avoided teaching verbs or verb conjugation at least until it taught you everything else first

Track 2 taught verbs earlier than track 1 and was what was more traditionally typical for the teaching order

He said it was easier for most people to learn track 1

Biblical Greek has extremely complicated verb conjugation charts compared to modern Spanish, French or German

Memrise used to have a function known as "mems," which are user-generated mnemonic devices or memory aids to help learners remember and retain new information more effectively. Mems are often designed to be humorous or even absurd to be memorable, such as using a picture of Abraham Lincoln listening to a ghetto blaster with the caption "Abe ends work in the evening" for the German word Abend, which means "evening"

However, since September 2022, mems have been completely removed from the site,[45] despite overwhelmingly negative feedback from users as expressed in the official forum.[46]
