What drives inflation most these days is resource and energy cost.
In normal times, 0.7% inflation, we could argue over the small contributing factors, but now? Energy costs drive shit up the wall and are responsible for the extra full 3%. Why even talk about meaningless other contributors?

One solution impacts everything, directly or indirectly, effects can be mathematically described as additive/multiplicative/proportional/inversely proportional. It's a cluster fuck.
Unless you're in a time of a golden age or even just prosperity, you can't have surplus for everything, because most of these mechanisms with be targeted to be in small, stable growth. Like for example 0.5-1.0% inflation. Why? Because we want more monkeys with good living. Because we want monkey to level up.

Can't do it in bad times. There's a lag time to effect of implementing corrections and even if correction was calculated perfectly, before it takes full affect other parameters changed and it's outdated anyway. Unless you stick your grubby hands into everybody's bank account every minute, you can't make everybody equal.
