So why do you need to mention the phrase "human beings"

Who would have denied they were human beings if you did not say that

I mean it is almost like the comedy sketch where the alien says "fellow humans" or that he "eats human food"

I mean we would have just assumed they were human if they did not spend so much time mentioning it but now it seems a little suspicious
