I'm worried about one of my coworkers rn. He's an older gentleman and I am not sure if he got out to get groceries, or if he may need help shoveling snow.

I guess he should have exchanged his phone number with you if he wanted to be able to get help from you
I doubt you can just ask an employer about employee phone numbers without getting in trouble
If another employee has his phone number and you have their phone number then that is a way to find out without getting in trouble with your employer maybe
The owner gave me his phone number, and my coworker was glad I checked up on him. He's doing alright. I checked on another coworker too; we're closed tonight, so nobody has to go in.
