So someone can appear to jump high if they are flexible enough by simply quickly moving their feet to a higher platform that they land on, meanwhile their center of gravity near their pelvis or belly button only moves a very short distance

Without buying a force plate how could I know if I am jumping higher in terms of moving my center of gravity a higher distance vertically
