In the black and white film workers are sacrificed to molech to keep the machine running and they have an alternate interpretation of some part of the book of revelation
Is there a remake with sound and people's voices where you do not have to read the dialogue
Was there ever a book to go with the movie
I am not counting the Japanese anime called Metropolis as it has different dialogue and it's plot is too far different
@shortstories There's a book with the same name as the movie, but I haven't read it. It's a 1920s fiction translation from German so it's probably not translated well by modern standards.
