Bob the police man betrayed the people by enforcing tyrannical laws the democrats passed when he was in office then Republican voters thought he did the right thing and was a Patriot when he enforced the laws the way Republicans wanted when Republicans were in office
How can the same person be a patriot and a traitor
Sounds like he is just doing whatever he thinks will make him popular and get him promoted instead of fired and not what he thinks is ethical
