I would suggest that intelligence is probably closer to a power distribution than a bell curve and the implications of this are very important
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_law
If you have a certain kind of bell curve distribution most people tend to be much closer to being equal to one another in terms of intelligence and someone who is smarter than 80% of people will have a much smaller gap of difference between someone who is average than the type of power distribution I suspect

It is easier to justify Statist communism if you assume a certain kind of bell curve distribution rather than a certain kind of power distribution for intelligence, strength and other attributes that effect the autonomy and productivity and caoability of people
I suspect that is why the default position in the social sciences is to start with a bell curve assumption and then not test if the data would fit some other curve better followed by a t test or z test
@white_male @djsumdog @jazzilla
So are you advocating that most people have about the same amount of intelligence on average and there are not massive gaps between those who study and were not born with cognitive disabilities and those who either do not try to study or were born with cognitive disabilities
Are you arguing that most people are close to equal
Are you arguing that there is not a massive difference between someone who is smarter than 80% of people and an average person?
@white_male @djsumdog @jazzilla
If those who are smarter than 80% are not vastly smarter than your average person then how come those who are more productive than 80% are vastly more productive than your average person according to the pareto principle
Are they more productive for some reason other than intelligence
@white_male @djsumdog @jazzilla
So 80% are lazy and 20% try really hard
But imagine if 80% of people with average genetic capability for intelligence do not study very hard
And 20% of people with average genetic capability for intelligence study very hard
Just like in the workplace setting it could result in massive differences of the outcome only in this caee the outcome is being smarter
Meanwhile, you've got a problem of "transmutation" of some basic bitch psychiatric metric on a one dimensional scale. You're not making any progress on this issue.
