If someone commits certain unjustifiable acts of violence over an age that they should no better then they should not reproduce instead of being favored for reproduction
If someone can not multiply a two digit number by a one digit number without a calculator then they should not be allowed to reproduce
If someone can not either produce what they need to survive on their own or get it through voluntary trade then they should not reproduce
This would prevent shortage of women
@[email protected] @[email protected] Ah, we’re talking about my favorite thing?
That woman is just repeating what others have said and not thinking it through. Other churches do not guarantee their young men brides, either, and it is common for guys to move away from home after high school, so there is no reason they can’t find wives there, and even start their own polygamist communities. Additionally, women are not compelled to remain FLDS, witness the crowd of “my escape into the paradise that is corporate American culture” biographies. The brides that stay are evidently delighted to be able to flex their hypergamy and be with the best men rather than settling for weak ugly ones.
If it was really their church’s fault that all these guys remain single, then why are there so many lonely men outside the fundamentalist Latter-day Saints? The fact that so many men can’t attract wives itself shows that plural marriage is a reasonable option for women who want to marry, but not with the field of singles that they see.
We should note that FLDS polygyny is an outlier, as in most places where polygyny is established only a fraction of women become plural wives. She would have a much harder time griping in the Muslim world or sub-Saharan Africa.

None of these solutions involve killing nor abandoning males in order to make sure there are enough females to marry
If FLDS abandons males then that is what is wrong with FLDS and not anything wrong with polygyny
