About 700 Calories per hour is the fat burning zone at which you can burn the most fat Calories per time during sustained exercise over 1 minute

At more Calories per hour the number of fat Calories burned per time actually decreases even though more Calories are ultilized because the body uses Carbohydrate Calories also

About half Calories burned are fat or about 350 Calories per hour when in the maximum fat burning zone

This means it takes 10 hours at this rate to burn a pound of fat

700 Calories Treadmill Hour
Burning 700 calories per hour on a treadmill is achievable through high-intensity exercise, primarily by combining increased speed and incline. For a 154-pound individual running at a moderate intensity of 5-6 mph burns approximately 9-10 calories per minute, which equates to 540-600 calories per hr
To reach 700 calories, higher intensity is required. A treadmill workout with a 3% incline and a speed of 5-6 mph can burn 600-700 calories per hr

Alternatively, a high-intensity interval workout using a 10% incline and a speed of 3.8 mph or less can burn 700 calories in an hour without running, relying on high incline to increase caloric expenditure.
Another method involves running at 6 mph for one hour, which can burn 700 calories.
The exact number of calories burned depends on individual factors such as weight, age, and fitness level, and estimates from treadmill displays are typically based on these var

I found jogging about five miles which is only about 500 Calories to be harder on my joints than doing four hours at 700 Calories per hour on an elliptical which is about 2800 Calories

I strongly suggest for many but not all people to use an elliptical and try to set the resistance and control their movement speed to be between a desired Calorie range instead of jogging for fat weight loss and heart benefits

Elliptical & ruckmarches for cardio, kettlebell for strength training.

@MSP_SMIMSA

So if you do 700 Calories per hour for 10 hours that will be 7000 Calories but only about 3500 Calories of fat

3500 Calories will let you lose a pound of fat

But since the rest of the Calories come from carbohydrate if you do not eat enough Carbohydrate then it will come out of your body's protein supply not out of your body's fat supply

So you might lose more than two pounds of weight but only one pound of it will be fat if you do not eat enough Carbohydrate I would guess
