new lifter and experienced lifter

light weights high reps on right side

heavy weights low reps on left side

As one would expect when tested after

Right side could lift more reps with the same weight

Left side could lift more weight with same number of reps

Both sides increased muscle mass or size

Right side with higher reps and lower weight built more muscle mass or size increase although not by a statistically significant amount according to him
