most cities should severely tax parking lots and pour that money into more buses.

Because guess what happens to paid parking when taxes go up? the cost is passed on to price and quickly people WILL see the value of a bus pass.

In time perhaps they'll even see the pointlessness of owning a vehicle if they rarely travel and will just... not buy one. you don't need to pay for maintenance or insurance on a vehicle you don't have.

Think of how much of a financial burden that takes off low income people

said something like that taxpayers pay for the infrastructure of big corporations, they pay for the roads for shipping, they pay for the streets and traffic lights & parking lots next to Wal-Mart

If the governments stopped building infrastructure for big corporations they would go out of business or stop having such a large control of the matket compared to small local businesses

These were not his exact words I miggt have misrepresented him

@Rasp

But without government who will build the roads

I would support the abolition of taxpayer funded roads

We could replace streets with gardens

No one would drive cars

If you need to go somewhere you walk

Helicopters and flying drones could be used for shipping and medical emergencies

The cost of some helicopters is less than the cost of maintaining all streets

Perhaps their could be small sidewalks with electric and plumbing lines underneath so you know where not to dig

I remember Obama summing it up eloquently by saying "you didn't build that". Such a poetic use of words.
