Watching Aliens (1986) for the first time. 50 minutes in and it took them this long to enter the affected settlement. This movie has awful pacing. On top of the distorted proportion, it's also filmed to unfold at a snail's pace. Continuing.

Usually older movies are too slow in the pacing for me and I stop watching them and newer movies have pacing so fast I can not understand how they got from one part of the plot to the next
The oldest movie I can reccommend that I actually like is Metropolis, even with subtitles and no audio dialogue it still is understandable and did not seem too fast or too slow to me at least the first time I watched it
Usually subtitles make it seem slower to me and I have to rewind
