Why do cloaks of invisibility make you get hungry and potentoally starve faster in ancient domains of mystery?

I would assume logically that the cloak is draining mana from the body of the user to maintain the invisibility spell. Nothing is free, not even magic.
@shortstories @Zeb Our mana is called electricity it is our foundation that create this world.
So if you can control electricity you will be able use magic.

I used mana as a generic word for the essence that fuels magic. It could be life essence in this case, although in real life it's basically energy - the cloak of invisibility is transforming calories into mana to fuel the magical effect. 🧙♂️
