Is there any law against civilians carrying around fake license plates that do not match any real vehicles license plate number and putting them up in front of flock cameras while walking without the plate attached to a vehicle to make the system get confused

Or posdibly some other sort of fake data like a giant QR code on a protest sign

Something that humans would ignore or recognise as fake but which would mess up the automated camera system

I'm not sure.

We have electrically polarized lexan protective coverings on top of the plates on our cars; all an automated camera would see if it took a snap is a white void where the license plate would be. We got them from some extended family in Kazakhstan.

If we got pulled over and a cop tried to check for polarization, all we have to do is either switch it off or not have the car running (no electrical power) and it would easily pass for a simple piece of plexiglas.

I'm pretty sure that's illegal, but fuck the police.
