People from many African countries did not know how to read and write before the Europeans showed up
Now since Europeans have been reading and writing and doing math for thousands of years all European families have a head start
If a black family is raised by black parents who do not know how to read & write and do math they will not do as well in public schools as white families raised by white parents who do know how to read & write and do math
I'm happy to concede this. But what do you conclude from it?-what is your point, precisely?
Because the parents have work ethic and understand the importance of reading and writing And math the children succeed academically and not because of the funding
Even if the parents are not good at reading and writing and math their children can still succeed academically if they view it as important as in the case of Ben Carson whose mother put in effort to make him study extra at a library
These neighborhoods can afford funding because the parents work hard
Raising the taxes to increase funding to public schools in a ghetto where most blacks do not care about learning will not improve ability to read and write for most blacks because most of their parents don't care
The locations that do care would succeed on a lower budget anyway because the parents care but have a higher budget because the parents work hard to have more funding because they care and they believe more funding helps
But the attitude is more important
Even though the parents believe more funding helps their children to learn and so they invest more funding in affluent areas I do not think they are correct
If the parents were not taxed to pay for schools they would have that budget to educate their children as they see fit and I am not talking about wavers for schools to redustribute tax but no tax at all
I believe they could better educate their children if public schools were abolished
I agree. And when we win the revolution, that's the first thing we should do. I was only curious about what this person proposes in the meantime were he to actually abolish property taxes.
I do not see how you could win an election by promising to not merely defund but abolish public schools because most public school teachers are going to abuse their teaching position to miseducate children that Public Schools are good and that Public School teachers should be paid more

Unfortunately the best answer I can come up with is to acknowledge that the majority is wrong and that you can not fix it in the short term because they are brainwashed, to do the best you safely and legally can to deprogram them and to try to be at peace that at least you tried and not to get to worked up about it but also focus on things you want to do in your life that do not requiring the majority of people to believe the right thing
As a politician I would try to push for the following school reforms
1 Replacing English classes with translation classes from English to foreign languages or from foreign languages to English
2 Replacing low grade science classes with safety classes so less time is spent teaching science at low grades so more time can be spent on math
3 Double the math class time so that first semester Calculus can be taught by the time someone is twelve

4 After a child has completed first semester Calculus put in two years of chemistry and two years of physics using Calculus and trigonometry
5 After Physics and Chemistry is complete start copying the curriculum medical doctors take involving book learning but not hands on skills
6 Physical Geography and Anatomy components involving names of physical structure and whers they are located can be taught before science
7 Teach about brainwashing from Steven Hassan
The first two books by Steven Hassan teach about brainwashing, mind control or unethical influence better than any other book I read
His material could replace some of the time spent doing other so called social science material
Also mandatory body cams for public school teachers to protect the good teachers from false accusations and to punish the bad teachers

I would also suggest that maybe you can reform the curriculum to be less bad even if you can not get rid of public schools
I would like to completely abolish public schools but ironicly if public schools can not be abolished then I am not opposed to more funding of public schools if it means for a less miserable experience for children forced to endure public schools
My objection to public schools is they use undue influence to push a viewpoint
