This is the sort of thing that we used to give shit to the Chinese for, though obviously a few people tried to help before giving up. Having said that, these escalators are supposed to sense catches and stop automatically so there was clearly something wrong with the sensor. The escalator had probably not been maintained properly
What if it was maintained by an Indian or Chinese worker in the United States
Even if it was not maintained why didn't they call for help earlier
