In the first elder scrolls arena game magic is so powerful you can most likely beat the entire game without ever attacking anyone with a magic spell or a weapon except maybe the final boss
If you can get through the first dungeon at level 2 or less as any spellcasting class but a healer or nightblade you can buy very expensive spellmaker spells that use so many spell points and money the cost loops back to close zero due to a bug and these spells make enemies unable to kill you when combined

The bug is more effective the lower level the character is because character level gives casting discount that makes over flow more difficult
As such healer and nightblade spells that defend you against enemies are actually more difficult to get because your level discount is doubled and battlemage is worse with ofgensive spells
