There was an old computer game called captain blood

You landed on different planets and talked to aliens using a series of pictograms

It made up it's own language and some of the aliens I think had different languages that used the same shared set of pictograms

Captain blood has some medical problem related to himself being cloned and can only cure himself by eliminating clones of himself which he must find by talking to aliens

Supposedly If you win the game it freezes showing a picture
