Yeah, that's a wrap for Malaysia.

This starts them on the road to the kind of fascism they have in China, and now Thailand - "public private partnerships" based around a biometric ID.

Optional at first, but it will quickly become mandatory as these things always do. The ID will mediate everyones interactions and transactions - banking, health, work, govt services, education, travel. All data overseen, collated and stored by a centralized government agency.
