I picked up some junk silver from JM Bullion and had a question. Some of the older coins are very worn out, some are hard to see the date. Does the missing material or the date not being legible effect the value?

@Chimi_Chuang_Tzu @Tfmonkey In terms of silver content, likely not TOO significant, but yes. In terms of buying in THIS age, yes it will affect resellability for sure.

Here's a tip I recommend -- try finding tarnished coins. The market usually has them going for less, but it doesn't affect the silver content, which is what we really care about. So you can get a coin in decent shape for less, just because it's darker, basically.

Cool, thanks guys. I did get a few coins that are blackened. I doubt they would accept returns so is a bummer with the lack of guarantee.
