What's something that you thought was normal but in hindsight wasn't?
I always thought family bonding activities were just filler on TV and never happened in real life lol.
Come to find out a decade later not only do people do family bonding activities but they enjoy it?!

@basedbagel You have to already have healthy family bonds before family bonding activities can be enjoyable.
I thought the father filling a fatherly role was normal. Then I met a number of people, and discovered that one was a stay-at-home father while his wife earned the money, and the other was childless but dependent on his wife and his mother. They were not keeping it hidden, either. It is more acceptable now to be a man-wife than to be a husband with authority.
