@basedbagel well most anime is geared towards young male minors so the appeal is just that there a girl who is just so madly in love with the main character who young men can connect with.
and it’s used for a love interest later on.

Interesting, i personally find a super clingy girl gives me a reverse erection due to past transgressions though I can see the appeal to a young guy.
