1 Higher Property Value so they can sell their houses for more even though that means younger generations can not afford to buy housing
2 To maintain property tax even though that means they will have to pay more taxes the higher their property value is if they actually plan to live in their houses instead of selling them
3 If you plan to not be homeless then it is stupid to support property tax while raising the price of your house so that you pay more tax
