@Scubbie @DwarvenAllFather @JoeBravo77 I think the multi-polar world, as he phrases it, is only a short transitional state, not a longer-lasting "settled-in" state of affairs.
And China vs Japan, specifically (this I'm less sure about), I think Japan will be strong in the beginning, but ultimately fail in global dominance against China, given enough time. For the next 10 - 20 years, Japan will be in THEIR transitional phase.
