@UncleIroh Well, this reminded me of my Grandmother, on my mothers side. I remember when we visited her she would talk similarly. idk about my sister but I was intimidated by her; she would pick up a wooden cooking ladle and promise me corporal punishment on misbehavior.
She was the only Grandparent I met; My Grandfather (her Husband) was a ranking officer in the Army. We had portraits at home. Very stern look in his eye. I understand now he had seen hard duty.
