Memorial day is okay for WW2 Veterans, to a degree, but since then the US Military has been attacking other countries who are NO threat to our way of life. I detest Communists, but Patriots on The Right need to ask a hard question of themselves, What were we occupying and killing for?
Sorry for the rant. Perhaps, I am not aware of the nuance. As a Veteran, I feel we did some good work, for the Commonwealth. I know men who re enlisted and did not make it back.
RIP, Comrades.

@sardonicsmile

Occupations are usually stupid.

#satcong is always justice.

The wars for democracy? A waste of time and life.

Yes, I mean WW1 and WW2.

I think the wars against terror were legit but, again, occupations are idiocy.

@amerika @sardonicsmile those weapons of mass destruction and the Three letter agencies involvement in 911 had nothing to do with the military starting the war on terror totally legit

@Scubbie @amerika There were NO WMD's. The Iraq War was largely about Oil.

@sardonicsmile @Scubbie

I disagree. It was about giving the terror states a bloody nose and it worked.

@sardonicsmile @Scubbie @amerika Casting it as a war for oil gives the impression that some national self interest was being served, most assuredly, that was not the case.
The interest I could see is making sure that oil was only being sold for dollars, so the rulers and bankers could continue to print money and steal from the whole world in the process. There was no benefit to us normal people.
