There is a reason why historically men have sought companionship from other men, and never women.
Wives offer a specific type of companionship, and there's nothing wrong with that. But if that's not balanced by the more meaningful type offered by having a band of brothers then men lack something important in their lives that a wife can never offer.
Also, periodically burning your mail is opsec 101. That dude is smart to do it.

True, but if you have land and regularly do light fires, burning is a foolproof method to destroy unwanted accumulated data.
I've been doing that for years. Shredding is a good alternative though.
Also, I like that proverb.
