I have to dual boot for the simple reason I play all my games on PC. If games come ready for Linux out the box, I would have completely dropped windows eons ago.

If it is new enough that it can not be run on microsoft dos, it is new enough that it is not a good game
Just run simulated microsoft dos from linux
