@shortstories Do not remember if you talked about Khazar as ashkenazi ancestry.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khazar_hypothesis_of_Ashkenazi_ancestry
Either someone wrote a story with a character in it said to be a prophet
or there really were prophets
Either way the prophets in the old and new testaments warned the Jews or Israelites to stop their bad behavior
Those who listened changed religions to Christianity or one of the many other religions than non christian Judaism
Those who continued to practice non christian Judaism were punished by God or Karma or natural law or simply the consequences of their bad actions
When the non Christian Jews were justly punished their temple was destroyed and they dispersed fleeing to a wide variety of different locations
Some of them converted Gentiles who were the ancestors of the Asdhkenazi Jewish Khazarians and other Ashkenazi Jews
Some of the people with Jewish or Israelite ancestors who abandoned non Christian Judaism hung around in Palestine and are called Palestinians to this day even though they had a greater percent ancestry from ancient Israelites
A large number of Khazarians Gentiles converted to non Christian Judaism upon learning the wicked teaching of non Christian Jews
Jesus called such converts something like twice the sons of Hell of those who converted them
These gentile converts most likely had offspring with the wicked non Christian Jews that converted them
So the Ashkenazi Jews of today have some ancestry from ancient Israelites but a much lower percent ancestry than the Palestinians
Some people think Adhkenazi Jews come from Khazaria which they think is in Ukraine
Others think they come from Ashkenaz which they think is in Turkey
Other people think Ashkenazi is a word that means German or Germany
Wherever it is these people's ancestors hung around Europe and USSR that overtlaps with both Europe and Asia and not the middle east near Palestine / Israel for hundreds of years
Where as the Palestinians were from Palestine / Israel and have more Israelite ancestry

Country existence rule nr. 1: Defend your borders against invaders. Goes very well with history's rule nr. 1: don't lose wars.
Palestinians broke both of them.
