Thuggee (UK: /θʌˈɡiː/, US: /ˈθʌɡi/) were historical organised gangs of professional robbers and murderers in India. They were said to have travelled in groups across the Indian subcontinent.[2]

They usually murdered their victims by strangling using a handkerchief as a tool.[3] The Thuggee were believed to practice their killings as a form of worship toward the goddess Kali.[4]

@Gonzo17

I would not call murderers cool if I do not want to be murdered by a gang of murderers

@shortstories sorry I was being sarcastic those people are human filth.

@Gonzo17

I think there is a connection between the "Orthodox" "Jewish" Shekinah in the Kabbalah and the hindu worship of Shakti which is also connected to human sacrifice and Thuggees which is connected to the word thugs

@shortstories weren't supposed to have magic powers. And people are scared of them because of it. nobody messes with them because of .superstition

@Gonzo17

I have heard claims that cannibalism is sometimes part of left hand Tantra in Indian religions before this

Sort of MK ultra related but not exactly

Part of the stuff in those videos is very much legitimate

And part of it is paranoia about being exposed to ideas from people of other religious labels

Anyway those two videos from that video series both focus on Indian religions

One of the religious gurus was accused of conducting biological warfare if I remember correctly he was accused of telling his followers to infect a salad bar at a restaurant thinking it would influence an election

In 1984, 751 people suffered food poisoning in The Dalles, Oregon, United States, due to the deliberate contamination of salad bars at ten local restaurants with Salmonella. A group of prominent followers of Rajneesh (later known as Osho) led by Ma Anand Sheela had hoped to incapacitate the voting population of the city so that their own candidates would win the 1984 Wasco County elections
