Rabbis will either misrepesent the old testament to mean what it never meant to promote an evil agenda
Or take parts of the old testament that have multiple meanings, some proposing, good or neutral choices and other's promoting evil choices
And choose exclusively the evil choice meanings to the maximum degree they can get away with without being punished by society
