@Justicar I wouldn't call that a suicide. It's more stupid placement resulting in frustration. Youtube has been a loss leader for years.

Everyone's heard of NewPipe on Android, the YouTube replacement app that strips out the ads.
Even better is a forked app called Tubular. It's the exact same UI but with extra addons that:
1. automatically skip the intros, outros and mid-stream ads
2. restores the dislike count on videos.
It's hands down the best YouTube replacement. Get it on IzzyDroid:
