I was born 70 years ago and the American world back then was heaven compared to what it is now.

Sure, some people operated on their base desires, but most people didn’t; most people were religious. Most people were Christian. We were a white, Christian nation, and even if some of it was a facade, at least the vast majority of people lived up to those ideals.

People didn’t always follow them, but in general, if you acted like a moral degenerate you were shunned and called out on it.
