I used to work in energy and remember this very well back in 2011. My instant reaction was that this was completely retarded and they would come to regret it.
We all saw ze Germans being whipped up into a moral panic by Progressives and Greens over the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
The benefit of age is living long enough to see your intuitions validated.
Germans are still punching themselves in the dick to this day.
@UncleIroh @Mr_Mister worst part is that when you see a declining or straight-up failed society, like germany, france, england, sweden... it is all due to voters. it's not like people voted for the good guy but got scammed like in ukraine. no, they indeed do vote for the bad guy. and repeatedly. canada is a great example of that. this is why democracy is incompatible with human society. there simply needs to be an adult in control.
You live in a very simple world. Power does not work this way, it never did.
@UncleIroh @Justicar Iroh did you miss out when 1 million French people protested in the streets a day after Macron raised the retirement age by 2 years? When you give the weak and stupid power this stuff happens. People riot because they can’t get there free shit sooner.
