@Tfmonkey man what a clusterfuck. i dont think bringing sources would've changed anything. destiny would've just looked at them and debooked them. he's severely underestimating how bad things are especially if he's not against cutting welfare and suffrage. but i guess time will tell, if you're right we're all fucked & if he's right its business as usual. its the audience best interest to air on the side of caution.
@Tfmonkey @kaiservenom yeah you can easily tell he’s that kind of guy. It’s all studies until, it doesn’t validate his point then it’s debooked. I guess you can say from a normie perspective TFM looked bad cause he didn’t have his sources. But I look at it like this, anyone genuinely interested in understanding the problem rather than validating their pre-existing beliefs will do their own research & look it in to it themselves. NPCs that need to be forced fed aren’t worth the time.
Agreed with your conclusion.
TFM, through a nuance, normie lenss: came off as someone dumb and dishonest. And that's the impression many people left with. But because they can't counter-attack someone as highly neurotic and witty as Destiny, it's not even worth playing Devil's advocate. So be deboonked or else.
But at the same time, these are normies. They only listen to power.
@kaiservenom @Pain66 Destiny isn't witty. I used to have these internet debates in the past and I stopped because I hate the 'do my homework" tactic of demanding sources, then dismissing them.
I could have prepared sources and you would have seen it, but I didn't because I was told this wasn't a debate and was lied to.
@Tfmonkey @kaiservenom also people like destiny can only reply nitpick other people’s solutions. I’ve never heard him actually provide his own solutions to anything (could be wrong but all I’ve ever seen are debates). It’s easy to be an arm chair critic. Doing the work to actually come up with a solution is hard.
@Pain66 @Tfmonkey
You're right on the first part, I've seen it. If you present Destiny a study, he'll skim it and hyper-focus on a word, size of sample, year, region; and will immediate dismiss it. And that's it, you're out of studies.
And he does read with the intention to look for "something" to dismiss the study for.
