@VooDooMedic HOWEVER, sometimes these instructions force self-imposed limitations on "rules" it follows to get that style / genre.
When it doesn't give me what I want, I try another style. And if I get something there where I like the structure, melody, etc, I then just do a cover of that song in the genre I wanted (use the Style section again). That often brings good results.
@VooDooMedic That's wild! You're a wild fellow. I'd like to get some more key changes in my songs when I want them. It's only ever worked once.
I figured out when I want 6/8 time I have to keep emphasizing it, and sometimes including the word "waltz" helps.
@RoninGrey I like 4/4 time for slower songs you have to do all the key changes in the lyrics themselves with vocal instructions with [square brackets]
@RoninGrey that's my style prompt, the style is fine it's not really what I was concerned with I'm more interested in trying to refine my lyrics make it sound and flow better than it already is, it's extremely hard to determine what is good and bad in terms of lyrics when everything just sounds so good in terms of fidelity so much so that you can write absolute garbage lyrics and it will try and make it sound good which is half the problem I've been running into recently
@VooDooMedic I was thinking of putting together a guide on writing lyrics for Suno and how to tweak and how to experiment, but here's a few tips off the top of my head:
Less is more. Only the writer NEEDS to understand the exact meaning.
Try breaking up lines, try merging two lines into one, etc.
Use Covers on your own songs.
Sometimes use only 3 lines instead of 4, and rhyme every 3 or however you want.
Eminem style: rhymes don't have to be at the end, or just once in a line, or perfect.
@RoninGrey Collab with me and we'll do a massive breakdown of everything we do to make a song and how to tweak and edit things
