It seems to me that the central thesis of buddhism - the full throated kind anyway - is "existence is tragedy." To live, have rational self-interest, and to experience the pleasures and pains inherent to humanity horrifies the founders of buddhism. Thus they war against desires, urges, and life-preserving instincts as an act of rebellion. The only reason it hasn't turned into a suicide cult is that achieving their highest goal (ontological suicide) is reserved only for those who spat in God's Face the hardest, rejecting everything about the blessings of life to the fullest extent.

I watched a clip from a buddhist monastery once, where they were making intricate decorations with colored sands. Every time they'd finish one of these pieces of art, some leader monk would undo it entirely. Why? In his words, to force the junior monks to meditate on impermanence and decay, to get them to stop attaching themselves to things. His reasoning was that attachments to this world keep you anchored here...as if that was a bad thing.

It really is just codified militant nihilism. Buddhism as I've seen it tells people that this world is a bad thing that ought to be escaped instead of a good thing that God created.

This anti-existence mindset isn't relegated to buddhism alone. It wormed its way into Christianity *very* early on by way of gnostic subversion. Since gnostics hold that some "evil" demiurge made the material world, they too insisted on reaching enlightenment through asceticism to achieve some sort of escape from reality. They too wanted to spit in God's Face. In the Church this simply got reworked to sound as though they weren't copying notes from these goofballs. But you may notice that gnostics and buddhists share the same aims and view of the world, so they naturally respect one another. The problem is, that means the churches end up giving an unearned respect to buddhism as well. For magisterial-apostate Christians, buddha is one of their highest saints and greatest teachers.

Don't believe me? One of the worst apostasies in Christian history is the canonization of siddhartha (the founder of buddhism) by the Catholic and Orthodox churches.
Oh don't worry, our spiritual forebears renamed him "josaphat" and made his story look more Jesus-ey. That apparently makes it OK to tell Christians to kiss icons of him or else they'll be damned:

Remember. If Nicea II is valid and all of its anathemas are true, then you would *have* to believe that buddha is a saint despite his entire religion being militant nihilism. You would have to pray to guatama just like a buddhist would, only you use a different name (because then maybe God won't notice your idolatry or something).

@SuperLutheran

But Buddha never converted to New Testament Christianity if you believe the mainstream historical view that Buddha died before Jesus was born

If one of these names is a code word for Buddha and they converted to Christianity then this story does not line up with history unless Buddha did convert to Christianity

He could have converted to Old Testament Chrustianity which I will not call Judaism and the timeline could fit

@shortstories @SuperLutheran Christian saints glorified as heroes in writings to convert pagans, accustomed to a pantheon of lesser gods. The curse of man in Christianity teaches existence is tragedy. To live, with self-interest, and experience pleasures, and cheat the pains inherent to humanity lead to the ultimate sin to make yourself a god like saint. The Jew provides 7 deadly sins of attachment to the world for the Goyim to indulge in for their father the devil in this half-time without Christ.

@Scubbie @shortstories The Scriptures do not teach that existence is tragedy. To the contrary, existence is a blessing with aspects that the Psalmists and Canticles praise under inspiration from the Holy Spirit. The fact that Christ died and rose so that we could be resurrected physically and enjoy earthly delights forever is consistent with God's proclamation that His creation is *very good* in Genesis 1.

@SuperLutheran @shortstories Remind me did the curse and fall of man in scripture happen after Genesis 1, changing the relationship between man and God?God's creation is good,it is man's connection to it that was severed thru sin and disobedience

@Scubbie @shortstories You're missing a few things with that estimation of it. If existence were tragedy (and thus something to rebel against, dismiss or otherwise lament entirely), then the proto-evangelium of Gen.3:15 would not have been given. In addition, the re-statement of the dominion mandate given to Noah demonstrates that man still has an inherent place in the world.
proto evangelion? i thought that guy said he was done making that show.
the last episode he ever did he subtly said to all the evangelion fans "go outside and touch some grass, and maybe meet a girl"

@SuperLutheran @shortstories Jesus being of the Seed of Adam thru Seth, defeating the serpents seed of Satan's,(Cain as the twin brother of Abel thru Heteropaternal superfecundation with Eve).Existence is deception by the half-time sorcery and luxurious living whosoever loveth and maketh a lie to bring forth the abomination that causes desolation , their Anti-Christ ,The wise will understand and stand firm and on the Lord's day will rise and receive the allotted inheritance on Earth

@Scubbie @shortstories Christ is the seed of the *woman* as spoken of in Gen.3:15 by virtue of the Virgin Birth. He is quite certainly not counted as a "son of Adam." Since He can to redeem our lives, and we learn this by way of speech and physical means, by no means is existence deception.

Cain was not the seed of the serpent, that myth comes from jewish midrashic sources. Cain was "of the evil one" by way not of his descent but his moral failings, as St. John teaches us in 1 John 3:12. If anything, Cain thought he was going to *destroy* the seed of the serpent; after all, driving away snakes is part of agricultural processes, and Can was a farmer.

@SuperLutheran @shortstories twins from Eve of different fathers Able of Adam, Cain of the serpent Heteropaternal superfecundation.Luke traced Christ's ancestors. He followed the family line to David, then to Abraham, and all the way to Adam.We live in CE and BCE altered technological "half-time"a Blackmagic propaganda spell taking Christ the conduit to communicate with God away thru a lie of comfort.Daniel could not understand, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."

@Scubbie @shortstories There is no Scriptural support for the notion that Eve gave birth to twins. Genesis 4:1 states plainly that Eve gave birth to Cain after Adam "knew" her (that is, slept with his wife), so even if they were both twins they both had the same father.
Yes, Luke traced Christ's matrilineal line. He also wrote about the Virgin Birth.

I don't know where you're getting the idea that Christ is a "conduit" or there's a black magic propaganda spell or whatever. Do you have a particular influencer you're listening to that came up with these ideas?

@SuperLutheran @shortstories Christ is the only way to communicate thru faith in the Vulgar Era half time.
I have studied the Bible and the occult mysticism blood sex magic sorcery practices of the enemy. The crucifixion of Christ was a blood sacrifice for power on Earth for Satan by his seed.As far as Bible studies of Genesis here is a video you can watch but would suggest the whole series.

@Scubbie @shortstories Oh gosh no wonder your vocabulary is the way that it is.
Dude, Murray's cult ain't it. You've played yourself listening to this guy and his kid. Separated from historic Christendom, he came up with his own vocabulary and ideas without ever being exposed to the 2k years of theologians hashing this stuff out.

@SuperLutheran @shortstories Seminary and theology in this time has done wonders for Judeo Christianity's message, it is the reason white people are lost to God.Christian denominations exist because men decide how they wish to perceive God's word, and ignore its interpretations and label it cult if it doesn't suit their vision or path they chose.Just as you shun Buddhas message because it isn't yours, you can't learn from it with closed eyes

@Scubbie @shortstories "Christian denominations exist because men decide how they wish to perceive God's word, and ignore its interpretations"
How convenient that your own beliefs escape this lol

I reject buddhism because it's absurd, nihilistic and wicked. If you can't understand that about the belief system, you are under the devil's program and destined to hell if you don't repent.
@SuperLutheran @Scubbie @shortstories But my pastrix says that everyone's interpretation is heckin' valid and we can all still be super best frienderinos.

@SuperLutheran @shortstories Judge me if you want,I have never joined a denomination or cult and I'm not a practitioner of Buddhism, needing to repent.I am a Identity Christian and do not believe in Judeo Christianity views of any seminary but do study the Bible. Those that claim to be God's chosen are not, they belong to the synagogue of Satan,Aryans were true Israelites who had their birthright stolen.Ancient form of Israelite shamanism before writing was close to Bon and nature God's creation
